Hi Judy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Oh boy! It looks like you will arrive for your Walt Disney World Resort visit tomorrow. How exciting! I love the options for Character Dining that are located on Walt Disney World Resort property, but not in the theme parks. It is nice to be able to visit with Characters and enjoy a delicious meal without even needing a theme park ticket!
Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort is my favorite choice! There are some really delicious food offerings there, including Mickey-shaped waffles, and it is a lot of fun to meet the characters in their chef outfits! When my son was almost 2-years-old, he was shy around the Characters and would sit on the floor as he approached them. At Chef Mickey's, Pluto got down on the floor with him! It was a special moment and really shows how wonderful the Character interactions are there!
The
Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno on Disney's BoardWalk is another fun option. Your hosts are Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric. There is a parade around the restaurant and the Characters are excellent conversationalists! The stars here (for me, at least) are the freshly baked pastries. I could eat them all myself, but I do try to share with the rest of my family. Ha!
Since your trip is so close, finding dining reservations at a Character Dining location may prove to be a challenge, but there are occasionally last-minute cancellations, so keep checking. If you can't find a reservation at the top choices I gave you, you can also check
1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort, and
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. All are really great locations!
I hope this helps, Judy! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
