Do you need to be staying on disney property to reserve a horseback riding session on wilderness lodge?

Yee-Haw, Kristy! I'm sure glad you've moseyed on down to the planDisney corral with your root·in-toot·in question.

It sounds like you want to plan a day at Tri-Circle-D Ranch at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I remember back in the day when my kids were knee-high to a grasshopper; we spent the day here visiting the horses, enjoyed a carriage ride, and rustled up some tasty grub at Trail's End Restaurant! The one thing we didn't have time to do was horseback riding, so I'm extra excited over here on my side of the computer that you get to saddle up for the fun.

Kristy, my "mane" priority is to bring you some good news! You do not need to be a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel to reserve horseback riding! Guests 9 years of age and older can giddy up through the trails. This activity is part of the Enchanting Extras Collection and can be reserved up to 60 days before arrival. I'm adding the link HERE so you'll also be able to see all the details, including where to park when you arrive.

Since you'll already be on property, I recommend checking out the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. This musical hootenanny will have you tapping your toes while you dine on all-you-care-to-enjoy fried chicken and smoked BBQ pork ribs!

I'm glad you reached out with your question. While we may not have a "snake in our boot," we have the answers to your Walt Disney World vacation questions, so give us a holler anytime and follow us on Instagram

    Ride like the wind, Bullseye!
