Do you need to stay on property to take part in the campfire and movie at Fort Wilderness? Do you know the tome that it starts? I’ll be staying off site but this sounds like a lot of fun! Thank you!

    Howdy Tiffany!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort!  Not only is it a great place to camp, but the activities are so much fun and most are complimentary!

In the summer months, the campfire lighting starts at 7:30pm and Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long starts at 8:00pm with the Movie under the Stars starting shortly after around 8:40pm.  These activities are open to any and all guests.  You do not have to be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel to enjoy the festivities.  If you would like to roast marshmallows or make s'mores, you can bring your own marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers or purchase s'mores kits at the Chuckwagon Snack Bar right at the campfire.  Roasting sticks are also available for purchase.

Another fun activity my family really enjoys at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are the canoes.  For a very reasonable price, canoes can be rented for an hour at The Bike Barn near the campfire.  The last rental is at 4:00pm and they close at 5:00pm.  If you're looking for a different kind of evening, rent a canoe later in the afternoon, head to dinner at the delicious Trails End Restaurant on property and cap your evening off with Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long and the Movie under the Stars.  Sounds like the perfect plan to me!

I have no doubt you and your family will love your time at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

    Have a magical day!
