Do we need to show photo ID to enter blizzard beach? Or are the tickets on our magic bands sufficient for entry? We don’t want to have to carry around ID at the water park if it’s not required. Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

How exciting to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a couple of days!  August in the South can be a bit sultry, so your plan of visiting a Water Park is a great idea for how to stay cool and still enjoy all the Magic of Disney.

When visiting any of the theme parks or water parks, in general Guests are not asked for ID as long as they have valid admission/ticket.  However, a Cast Member may ask for your ID at any time if there is an irregularity with your MagicBand or ticket.  Sometimes Guests are also asked to show ID when using an Annual Pass for merchandise purchases or for parking with an Annual Pass entitlement.  Additionally, if you plan on purchasing an adult beverage you will be asked for ID.  Therefore, I always make sure to carry my ID whenever I am out and about at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Jennifer, you mentioned that you will be visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park in a couple of days.  I wanted to make sure that you know that Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently under refurbishment.  However, good news!  Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is currently open!  Additionally, you do not need to make a Theme Park Reservation in order to visit this park.

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your vacation planning question and I hope this information helps you with your plans.  Please come back and visit us again with all of your Disney vacation questions as we are always happy to help you plan your next Magical adventure!
