We will need to ship a box of items to our resort. 3 questions....Coming from Kentucky, how far in advance should we ship? Also, can you recommend UPS or FedEx? When shipping back home, can we do that from our hotel? Thanks Moms and Dad!

Hello Christina!  I don't think it matters if you use UPS or FedEx - use the one that is more convenient/cost effective for you.  Both couriers should have a shipping calculator located on their website that will help you determine when to ship your package (my guess is 4-7 days depending on what option you choose).  If the package arrives at the resort a day or so before you do, no worries - Bell Services will store the package for you until you arrive.

When filling out the label, provide plenty of information for the resort so they know who the package belongs to.  Information you'll want to include:

    Your name
c/o The Resort you will be staying at
"Hold for guest arrival on (date), Reservation #xxxxxx"
    Street Address
    City, State Zip

You may want to keep your tracking number handy - just in case.

As far as your return trip home, when making your purchases at gift shops (resorts or theme parks), you can choose to have your purchases shipped to your home address via UPS or FedEx. If this is something you're interested in doing, just inquire when making your purchase, and a cast member will be happy to assist.

If you are staying at a resort with a business center (Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, Yacht Club and Swan/Dolphin) you can mail packages there. If you are not staying at one of these resorts, stop by the concierge desk in the lobby of your resort for assistance. Either way, cast members will be happy to assist you in getting your packages mailed home. There is a surcharge to cover the cost of shipping materials as well as the actual shipping cost.

I used the Coronado Springs business center option last December to mail two boxes home and found it extremely convenient.

Have a magical vacation!  Diane :)
