Hello Laura, and welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you're here with your important question, and how exciting that you'll be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" here soon!
There are
ECV and wheelchairs for rent at the
Disneyland Resort located outside of the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Since you cannot reserve them in advance, I would recommend arriving as soon as the parks open, if not a few minutes earlier. If it gives you peace of mind, you are also invited to bring and use your own ECVs and wheelchairs throughout the Disneyland Resort.
You can also explore the options at ScooterBug, a private mobility rental company in the Disneyland Resort area, and they are able to provide ECV and wheelchair rentals for Guests staying at Disneyland Resort Hotels. There is also a ton of great information on the
ECV rentals page, including the requirements and safety reminders.
Laura, you may also want to explore the
Disability Access Service (DAS) that is offered at the Disneyland Resort. Eligible guests are able to
pre-register for DAS Advance virtually with a Cast Member, using live video chat, and you are able to pre-register as soon as 30 days in advance of your visit, but no less than 2 days before arrival. I truly commend the Disneyland Resort's commitment to ensure an inclusive and accessible experience for all of their guests.
I hope this information was helpful for you Laura, you can always
contact Guest Services as well for more assistance to ensure a seamless experience for you and your family. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to come back and visit us here at planDisney!
Have a magical trip!
Melissa
