Do I need to make reservations to travel from resort to parks?

    Hi Nicole,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to visit us here with your great question about Theme Park Reservations and transportation.  One of the many reasons my family and I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort is the ease in which we are able to plan for our vacation prior to arrival.  It really allows us to be in the moment and enjoy making memories with each other.

When planning, guests are required to have both a valid Theme Park Ticket as well as a Theme Park Reservation for every day that you wish to enter a Theme Park.  So in addition to booking your accommodations, regardless of where you are staying you will need to make a Theme Park Reservation to enter into a Theme Park.  Once you have purchased your Theme Park Tickets, you will be able to make your Theme Park Reservations in My Disney Experience.  It is quick and easy, but I do recommend making your reservations as soon as possible, as capacity is limited.

When you are at your Walt Disney World Resort, transportation to and from Theme Parks is complimentary and does not require a reservation.  There are well marked areas for each mode of transportation, making it easy to travel throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this information was useful, Nicole.  If you have any other questions, please come back to planDisney, we are always happy to help.
