Do you need reservations and a ticket to get into magic kingdom still or is that over?

Hey there, Debbie. Welcome to planDisney

The Walt Disney World Theme Parks are still operating at a limited capacity. Because of this, Guests do require valid theme park admission and a park pass reservation to gain entry at this time. Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the Walt Disney World Theme Park you'd like to visit each day. It guarantees you a spot in that particular theme park all day long.

Before purchasing your Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets for a particular date, I recommend checking out the Walt Disney World Theme Park Availability Calendar. This is going to show you if park pass reservations are still available for the Walt Disney World Theme Parks on a particular date. If the park you are wanting to visit is still available, then I would go ahead and purchase those theme park tickets and make those park pass reservations all in one sitting, so you don't miss out on the park you'd really like to visit.

Did you know that park hopping is back at Walt Disney World? Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. It does look a little bit different with the addition of park pass reservations but it is still so much fun.

Here is how park hopping is currently working:
    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must make park pass reservations for the first park they'd like to visit each day
    • On the day of, Guests will need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing to other theme parks later in the day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
After 2:00 p.m. Guests park-hopping are able to visit 1, 2 or even all 4 of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. I've done it all and had a great time! I'm just so glad that park hopping has returned.

I hope this helps answer your questions about the current policies in place at Walt Disney World right now, Debbie. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
