Do I need to make reservations for all our meals? I made one for a character breakfast, but didn't think I had to for the regular restaurants. I figured we would just stop at a restaurant at the park we were at that day.

    Michelle:

In the past, only popular restaurants like Cinderella's Royal Table and Chef Mickey's booked up.  However, gone are the days where you can just go up to a restaurant in Disney and get a table in 15 minutes....

With Disney pushing their Dining Plans and even offering free dining during some months of the year, restaurants fill up--even the ones that I wouldn't necessarily put top on my "To-Do" list.

Yes, there are still stand-by reservations available--and some folks would argue that reservations hamper their "flexibility"--but rather than losing time trying to find them or waiting an hour and a half to be seated, I would suggest making all of your reservations before you leave, if you are able. You can always call and cancel (not a requirement, but trust me, other guests will be thankful for this courtesy!)

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
