Do I need to make reservations for lunch (in the parks and/or outside at the resorts)?

Hi Erin!  You only need to make lunch reservations anywhere on property if you are choosing a table service restaurant.  Sometimes families like to have a "sit down" lunch while in the parks as it forces them to slow down and take a breather before heading out for more attractions.  If that is the plan for you I would strongly suggest you make the reservations since the table service places book up quickly.

With my own family we found we did not want to eat two big meals a day and often would choose to either do a quick service meal in the parks or back at the resort for dinner.  For the quick service places you do not need a reservation which allows you to be a little more flexible.  When helping families plan their trips I suggest you do secure at least the one dining reservation per day. Once you are there and you need to cancel you have that option but it is often extremely hard to get a last minute reservation at a time that fits your family needs.  To be safe....make a reservation for any restaurant that is table service whether it is for lunch or dinner.
