do I need to make reservations for everyone on the days in the park>

Welcome to planDisney, Evaline. I'm really glad that you've dropped by to talk about park pass reservations.

Evaline, right now, in addition to valid theme park admission every Guest wishing to visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park must have a park pass reservation. Because the Walt Disney World Theme Parks are still operating at a lower capacity limit, a park pass reservation helps control the flow of people and is basically a virtual placeholder in line for you at the theme park you'd like to visit each day.

Theme park availability is broken down into three categories - Guests with a resort reservation, Guests with tickets only and Annual Passholders. If you haven't purchased your theme park tickets yet, I suggest heading over to the theme park availability calendar first to make sure there are still spots available for the theme park you'd like to visit each day. Be sure you are looking at the calendar that most pertains to you because they do have different availabilities.

Once you've checked out the calendar and purchased your tickets, it's time to make park pass reservations. You'll need to make sure your tickets are linked to your MyDisneyExperience account before continuing on. If you purchased them through the Walt Disney World website, you should be good to go. Next, you'll visit the park pass reservation website. You'll be prompted to select your party, a date on the calendar and then the theme park you'd like to visit. If all goes well, you should see a confirmation page and then have the option to make a park pass reservation for another day. You'll need to do this for every day that you wish to visit a Walt Disney World Theme Park.

If you have park hopper tickets, where you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day, you still need to make park pass reservations for the first theme park you will be visiting each day. On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the park with the park pass reservation. This sort of "activates" your park hopping feature each day. After that, you do not need to make additional park pass reservations for the day. You'll be able to enter any other Walt Disney World Theme Parks starting at 2:00 p.m.

I hope this helps! if you have any other questions before your trip, stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have a great time!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
