Kimberly, hello and welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to ask your question.
I am a big fan of the water parks at
Walt Disney World, Kimberly. One reason is that they provide a lot of flexibility in an itinerary. You currently do not need to make
park pass reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Water Parks. In fact, you really don't even need to purchase tickets in advance. I love this because if the day I had scheduled to visit the water park is kind of crummy, I like to rework my plans a little bit and visit on a much nicer day. Also, if it's beautiful out one afternoon and you need some fun in the sun, heading to the Disney water parks is a breeze.
Kimberly, I did want to mention that as of right now,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is the only one currently open and accepting Guests. With that being said, it's actually my favorite of the two water park options so I am certainly not sad about that! Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is just pure fun. I can't think of anything better than getting thrashed around by lifesize waves in the
surf pool on a beautiful sunny day. The surf pool is so big and produces the most perfect waves that they actually used to give surf lessons in the pool in the mornings before the park officially opened. It was such a cool experience. There is something for all ages and comfort levels in the water at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park making it a great choice for families. Besides the surf pool, another do not miss attraction is
Miss Adventure Falls. It's a family tube slide that has some super fun twists and turns. However, what makes this attraction so unique is that you get into your tube at the bottom of the water slide and take an aqua-escalator to the top to start your ride. It's so unique. And of course, who could forget about the quintessential water park treat - mini donuts! You'll find these delectable goodies near the entrance/exit and I always like to pick up a dozen ... or two to enjoy on my way home.
I hope you'll be able to enjoy a day at the water park on your upcoming vacation, Kimberly. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help!
Have fun.
