Do I need a reservation to visit Disneyland this coming Sunday? And what is your policy regarding weather? I see there’s rain in the forecast.

    Hi there, Andrea!

It may be known as sunny Southern California. But there are some months during the Winter and early Spring that tend to see somewhat more rain in Anaheim than at other times of the year. Still, I’d take a few drops of rain in The Happiest Place on Earth over the cold and snow I’m seeing in Utah at the moment!

Yes, each Guest visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks requires both valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation. If you purchase your theme park ticket online or in the Disneyland mobile app, you will enjoy the convenience of buying your park admission and booking your park reservation at the same time. You can then verify your reservation status from the “Future Plans” screen of the Disneyland app or from the "My Theme Park Reservations" page online.

As for rain or other inclement weather, “hakuna matata!” It means, “no worries!” The Disneyland Resort remains open even during rainfall. There may be a handful of attractions that will need to close temporarily for safety during some weather events. Some entertainment may also be impacted. Rest assured that there will still be plenty of fun and magic to experience. I recommend taking a light jacket or poncho and/or a travel umbrella, just in case.

Rain or shine, I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Andrea. I’m sure you’ll be in awe at the amazing new offerings debuting this weekend for the Disney100 Celebration. If you don’t already have your ticket purchased, I recommend doing so sooner than later. Once word gets out about how exciting the new shows and attraction are, those park reservations may fill up quickly.

    See ya real soon, Andrea!
