Hi Susan, welcome to planDisney!
You're going to fall in love with Walt Disney World Resort in October! October in EPCOT means the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival and
the return of several popular Enchanting Extras Collection tours. October in Magic Kingdom Park means Cinderella pumpkin wreaths, spooktacular treats, and <<drum roll please>>
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place in Magic Kingdom Park on select nights through October 31. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. though Guests are invited (and encouraged) to enter the park as early as 4:00 p.m. The Halloween party is a special ticket event, which means you need two things to enter the park on your party day: your party ticket
linked to your My Disney Experience account and a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card). No additional theme park reservation is required. The same applies to other special events like
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Please note that these special events do not appear in the "Future Plans" section of the
My Disney Experience mobile app, which threw me off at first. As long as they appear under "Tickets and Passes" (three small lines at the bottom right of the home page --> Tickets and Passes) you can proceed to park entry.
When you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park, look for Cast Members in frightfully fun attire holding Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party signs. When you check in with a Cast Member, you will be given a wristband and event map. Your wristband will be shown multiple times as Cast Members confirm party attendees throughout the park.
Before you arrive, I recommend scrolling through the event guide found in the My Disney Experience mobile app (scroll down on home page --> "Learn More" under Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party --> Scroll Down --> "Scroll through our event guide...") Whether you consult the Event Guide for Night Owls or the Event Guide for Little Ones, you'll find tips to keep every haunt in your party happy.
Hurry back to planDisney with any other questions.
