Do we need to make a reservation to park hop? We made our reservations for the first park but aren’t sure if we need to do this for park hopping later that same day. If so, how do we do this? Thanks!!

Hey there Kathleen and welcome back to planDisney!

The Park Hopper Option is the only way to take on the Disney Parks as far as I'm concerned. My usual strategy involves planning and organizing my mornings and then completely winging it for the second half of my day. With the addition of Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System, I was super nervous about my free afternoons coming to an end. The reality actually involved a lot more pixie dust.

Your travel party only needs to have Theme Park Reservations for their first park of the day. At 2 PM when Park Hopping is allowed, you can skip on over to whichever destination you'd like as long as it isn't at capacity. Before heading to your next park, you can actually call 407-560-5000 to find out via an automated message if any of them are too full for new Guests. You'll then be able to choose a different park and avoid unnecessary travel time.

Kathleen, I hope I've been able to put your mind at ease. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
