Do I need to have a reservation at Ohana in order to have a photo taken at the restaurant?

Aloha, Chris! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Chris, ideally, to enter a restaurant and enjoy the facilities, it would be preferable to have a reservation. I’d venture to guess that this would be at the Cast Member’s discretion, depending if the restaurant is very busy, to allow you to come in and take a picture. But I would recommend trying to get a reservation to get the full experience. Especially at ‘Ohana; it’s one of my favorites!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a stunning property and there are plenty of photo-ops throughout. So, if you choose not to get the dining reservation, I would recommend exploring the resort outside of the restaurant for a different location to capture a memory. I love visiting this resort to enjoy one of my favorite snacks on property, the tasty DOLE WHIP, available at the Pineapple Lanai, then heading down to the beach to enjoy my treat and catch some amazing views of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks.

If you choose to book that reservation, be sure to do so as early as possible. ‘Ohana is a popular choice for guests so reservations are limited, and they do book up fast.

I hope this information was helpful! If you have any additional questions or need planning tips or advice, be sure to stop by and see us again. It’s our pleasure to assist you in planning the most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort yet!
