Welcome back to planDisney, Tami!
Food and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Two subjects that I could talk about all day, every day. And not only is the food amazing at
Nomad Lounge, but the laidback vibe makes it one of my favorite spots in all of Walt Disney World Resort. It's an absolute must-do.
In order to experience Nomad Lounge, you do not need an advance dining reservation. In fact, at the moment, there isn't an option to make one for this restaurant. The best way to get a spot (and get first dibs on seating preference) at this popular lounge is to arrive about 10 minutes or so before it opens. You can arrive after opening as well, but as the day goes on the walk-up waitlist grows. An advance dining reservation is needed for
Tiffins Restaurant, which shares the location with Nomad Lounge.
By the way, yes! The churros at Nomad Lounge are THE best on property. They're nice and warm and perfect alongside one of the many specialty cocktail and mocktail options at the lounge. My recent favorite dish at Nomad Lounge is the Korean Barbecue Bao Buns; they're plant-based and full of flavor. And if you're sitting in the outdoor area, don't forget to wave at the passing floating cavalcades filled with character and performer surprises!
AN EXTRA GEM: If you have the
Disney Dining Plan, you may redeem one table service meal at lounges like Nomad Lounge. I have a feeling that you've already perused this
lounge's menu, but it is full of small plates or appetizers instead of entrees. So, you may not get the most value using it at Nomad Lounge, but it is an option.
Tami, if you have additional Disney vacation planning questions,
give me a holler here at planDisney. I'd love to share more of my Most Magical experiences with you. You're going to have the BEST trip ever!
Magic always,
LeAndra
