Do we need a reservation for every table service meal?

Hello Megan.  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I know it can seem overwhelming at first, but I do highly suggest making dining reservations for every table service meal you would like to eat at while on vacation.  Dining reservations actually open up 180 days in advance and some of the best and most popular places fill up rather quickly.  For the most part, you wont be able to walk up to just any table service location and land a table.  If you don't make reservations, it would make for a very frustrating vacation come dinner time. If you don't want to make dining reservations for your whole trip, I suggest picking at least  3 of your must eat at places and book those.  Once you are at Walt Disney World, you can always search for dining reservation day of on your MyDisneyExperience App. If you can't find a place to eat day of, most of the lounges at Walt Disney World offer a small menu of appetizer like food.

My best advice is to go ahead and make all of your dining reservations, you wont regret it!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
