Hi Ana,
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are planning a magical day in the parks to celebrate your little Mouseketeer this weekend! There is no better place to make unforgettable memories and experience pixie-dusted moments than the Happiest Place on Earth.
I can understand wanting to secure a special character dining experience for this occasion and
Goofy's Kitchen and
Minnie & Friends - Breakfast In the Park at Plaza Inn, are great options. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance on the
Disneyland website or through the Disneyland Mobile App, so you are well within your window to find something tasty! In either case, I recommend tapping the magnifying glass search icon and typing "Goofy's Kitchen" or "Plaza Inn". If you are on the website, tap the "Check Available Days" button. If you are in the app, tap "Reserve Dining". In both cases, you will then enter your party size and preferred date and time to view availability.
Now that we've got the "how to" under our belts, let's see what we can find out about availability for this Saturday. Without knowing your party size, I did go in and search for any available tables at both dining locations for parties of 2 and 4. Unfortunately, there is currently no availability, but I did see a table for 2 open at 8:00 am for the
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures. This may not stay open for long, but it could be worth checking out! All that being said, I encourage you to keep checking for Goofy's Kitchen and the Plaza Inn! Guests are always changing their plans, and it's possible that a reservation may pop up, especially as you get closer to your park day. Both restaurants require Guests to cancel two hours ahead of their reservation. In my experience, most Guests are making their final decisions on plans in the 24 hours leading up to their park day, so you may see some movement.
While I know this was not the news you were hoping to hear, Ana, I would love to propose some alternative ways to celebrate. The
Disneyland Resort knows how to make Guests feel extra special, so my first tip would be to grab a complimentary "I'm Celebrating" button as soon as you arrive. The Cast Members at most merchandise locations will have these on hand and, if not, will point you in the right direction. Your princess be showered with well wishes throughout the day!
My next tip would be to make an alternative reservation at one of the dining locations that offers a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. The best part is, you can easily add this to your reservation when you are making the reservation itself! It couldn't be easier, and, speaking from experience, the cake is as delicious as it is cute! Currently, Blue Bayou, Café Orléans, Lamplight Lounge, River Belle Terrace, and Wine Country Trattoria offer this special treat.
Ana, I hope this was helpful in your planning. I'm going to wish upon a star and think positively that a reservation will open up for you and your family for this weekend. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
