Hi there Sandra, and welcome to planDisney!
You must be so excited that your magical vacation is just a few weeks away. It sounds like you're putting the finishing touches on your itinerary and dreaming of a dino-mite visit to Disney Springs.
While a reservation is recommended to dine among the dinos at
T-REX™, you will not need one to create a Friendosaur™ at the
Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop®. You'll find this unique experience in the Dino-Shop, opening daily at 10 AM. Be sure to check the official T-REX™ website for changes in operating hours. If I were planning this experience with my children, I would visit the Dino-Shop first, that way we could enjoy our meal with a freshly hatched Friendosaur™ or two.
If you're looking for other family-friendly activities in Disney Springs, my kids love to stop by
Gideon's Bakehouse (try to get a spot in the virtual queue as soon as you arrive at Disney Springs), admire the creations in and around
The LEGO® Store, and immerse themselves in souvenEARs in
World of Disney®. In the evening you'll find lakeside live entertainment at
Waterview Park. An afternoon or evening at
Disney Springs is one of my family's favorite ways to kick off a Walt Disney World vacation.
Best wishes for a fantastic winter getaway, Sandra. You'll be arriving in time for the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, so your creativity won't have to become extinct after your visit to the Dino-Shop. Don't miss my family's favorite scavenger hunt,
Figment's Brush with the Masters! Check out the attached episode of the
planDisney Podcast for more about this special event. Thanks for bringing your question to us, and we can't wait to welcome you home real soon!
