Need to rent a scooter in magic kingdom. Can I reserve it aheAd of time? Thanks.

    Hi Emily!

Thanks for sending your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Yes and No. Unfortunately, the scooters or the Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) rentals offered directly by Disney cannot be reserved before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort.  They are only available for rent once you arrive at the Disney Parks and/or Disney Springs and must be returned daily. However, you do have the option of reserving an ECV from a Disney Featured Provider! Last year, my husband needed a wheelchair and I found that the best thing for him was to rent a scooter or ECV from one of the Disney Featured Providers. The great thing about it was that the scooter was delivered to our resort prior to our arrival, we were able to board the bus transportation with it and at the end of our stay we left the scooter at the front desk for pick-up. I also found it to be a more affordable option and we were guaranteed a scooter unlike the parks where they are subject to availability.

Did you know?: Staying at a Disney Resort comes with lots of benefits. One of my favorites is the Extra Magic Hours where Guests can enjoy the parks before they open to the general public and after they close to the general public. Additionally, Disney Resort Guests can make their FastPass+ selections up to 60 days before check-in when you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation!  Be sure to download your My Disney Experience App for your smart phone!

It has been a real pleasure assisting you! If there are any other questions you may have, please feel free to send them my way!
