Do you need to rent a 6 person golf cart for a 5 person family or can a child sit on an adult's lap?

Hello Dana and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's our pleasure to assist you.
Oh boy! I think maybe you're enquiring about Golf Cart Rental as you must have an upcoming stay for your dear family planned at either the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort or within the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in your near future which is super exciting for me to hEar as I love staying with my own folks within this delightfully peaceful Resort.
The rental of a Golf Cart to suit your families needs really can be an amazingly fun addition to any Fort stay and I'm happy to share that all Guests must adhere to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground - Vehicle, Carts & Recreational Devices - Rules & Regulations which does indeed state amongst other safety guidelines that "Young children may sit on passenger’s lap while being secured by the passenger."
You also won't want to miss riding along in your Golf Cart to the nightly nutty fun found at Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long which is located close by to the Meadow Trading Post plus be sure to stop by The Chuck Wagon for a s'mores kit on the way!
