Disney World has so many accommodations for its visitors from around the world. Yes, that includes us Floridians. I am more than happy to tell you all about how to rent a wheelchair or an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Both
wheelchairs and ECVs can be rented at Disney World’s theme parks,
water parks, and
Disney Springs. The rental stations are located near the entrances of these locations, so you can't miss them. Although you aren't able to reserve scooters before your arrival, they are indeed available on a first come, first serve basis. I strongly suggest that you arrive at your destination as early as you can to ensure that you get what you need.
At the time of answering your question, the cost for a wheelchair rental is $12 a day and an ECV rental is $65. If you decide to park hop to another theme park, keep the receipt and you can pick up another wheelchair or electric scooter at your next stop (if still available).
Need an electric scooter for your entire vacation? One of the official third-party partners for
ECV rentals is called ScooterBug. Using this service will help you get into an electric scooter even before you enter the theme parks.
AN EXTRA GEM: The
