I need to rent an ECV while I'm at EPCOT. I need to go over to Boardwalk while there, is it possible to go out the International Gateway to take the boat to Boardwalk with the ECV? I would be coming back in to spend the rest of the day at EPCOT.

    Hi Nolan!

Absolutely!  The Friendship boats are the main mode of transportation between Epcot and The Boardwalk area.  These boats have ramps that will actually allow you to drive right onboard!  Of course, if you need assistance, a friendly cast member will gladly accommodate you.  When you are ready to head back to Epcot, simply head out the dock and grab the next boat.

However, if you have rented your Electronic Convenience Vehicle from Disney while at Epcot, sadly you will not be allowed to exit the park with it.  I'm guessing that this is your major concern.  Don't worry!  I HIGHLY recommend the folks at Walker Mobility - they will deliver an ECV directly to your resort and are actually cheaper than Disney rentals!  Of course the main bonus is that you will have the ECV for the duration of your stay. Just visit their website or give them a call them at 1-888-SCOOTER.  You can rent them for as little or as long as you need it - enjoy!
