I need to rent a car for one day to travel off site to the University of Central Florida. I know that WDW has on site car rental. Can you tell me if I can reserve a car prior to arrival and will they pick you up at the resort to retrieve the car?

Hello Muriel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have often considered renting a vehicle while on Walt Disney World Resort property through the Car Rental Services at the Car Care Center, but usually, end up renting one for the duration of my trip at Orlando International Airport.

The good news is that if you choose to rent a car, the Car Care Center offers Guests the services of Alamo Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. You may reserve your rental car through the third-party provider's site by marking your pickup location as Orlando Walt Disney World Car Care.

Once booked, you can request a complimentary shuttle service from select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to the Car Care Center by calling (407) 824-3470 ext. 1. You must book your complimentary shuttle in advance and be waiting at a designated location at your resort Hotel for pickup.

Be sure to begin the Check-In process for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation by using the Online Resort Check-In Service up to 60 days in advance of your visit.

    Have a Magical Trip!
