We will need to rent a car to leave Disney world and move my son into college, stay 7 days longer, than get back to the airport. Can we rent a car at disneyworld but return at the airport? or take the disney bus to the airport car rental?

Hi Jerelyn! We have used rental cars many times at Walt Disney World.

Disney offers its guests a fully equipped Car Care Center that also includes rental cars. They offer National and Alamo rentals. They also offer a complimentary pick up service from your resort to the center so you are able to get the car. This is absolutely the easiest way for renting a car although it is not always the least expensive. We opt for doing it this way as time and stress of getting to the airport on our own is not worth saving a few extra dollars.

You can definitely return the car to the airport National or Alamo rental car facilities which are located conveniently in the parking garage attached to the terminal.

Enjoy your Disney vacation and good luck with sending off a son to college. It is definitely a tear jerking time watching your children grow up and move on but it is also gratifying.
