Hello, Laurie, and welcome to planDisney!
Your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth will be here in no time! You’ve come to the right place at the right time because the window to pre-register for the
Disability Access Service (DAS) is closing soon. Let’s get into it!
As you may know, DAS is an accommodation that is made for Guests who cannot wait in long attraction queues. Not being able to stand for long periods of time does not qualify a Guest for DAS; but of course, always talk to a Cast Member anyway to see if your grandson will be provided with this service.
To speak to a friendly Cast Member to see if your dear grandson qualifies for DAS, you’ll want to do one of the following:
-Pre-Register Online: You can complete an online pre-registration for DAS Advance via a live video chat. You can complete this chat up to 30 days before your arrival, but no sooner than 2 days. What’s cool about registering for DAS in advance is that during the call, the Cast Member will set up two (2) one-hour return windows for theme park attractions'
Lightning Lane use.
-Visit Guest Services: On the first theme park day of your visit, you can register for DAS by visiting Guest Services in person at the theme parks' entrances. In my experience, this process is relatively short, and a Cast Member will determine your grandson’s eligibility and will set up only your first Lightning Lane of the day.
I hope that this helps, Laurie!
Revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I hope that you and your grandson have the BEST time!
Magic always,
LeAndra
