    need to register for das

    Hi there, Robert,

Welcome to planDisney. My family and I have felt very fortunate to receive accommodations and support from the Disneyland Resort for special needs and disabilities. I'm grateful for the chance to help another Guest by sharing things I have learned and experienced.

To start, I recommend reviewing the information available in the Disneyland mobile app or on the Disneyland Resort website. On the app, you can find out about accommodations for Guests with disabilities by using the search feature or by selecting Guest Services on the map and tapping "Show List." Online, look for the "Guests with Disabilities" link at the bottom of the web page.

Among the services for Guests with disabilities, you will find the Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is for Guests with a disability that makes it difficult to tolerate a traditional queue. To register for DAS, an eligible Guest must be interviewed by a Guest Relations Cast Member. That interview can take place in person at any of the Guest Relations locations throughout the Disneyland Resort theme parks. Or the interview can be done via video chat between two and 30 days before arrival. Here are the steps to request video chat pre-arrival registration:

Tony's Tip: Demand for DAS pre-registration is typically high. So I recommend setting aside a fair amount of time to await your turn in the virtual queue.

Tony's Tip Times Two: DAS is also compatible with the Disney Genie+ service. While DAS alone helps make waiting for attractions more manageable, the return time self selection is still based on current standby wait times and only one DAS return time may be booked at a time. That's where Genie+ and Lightning Lane can be helpful to maximize the Magic of your visit to the Disneyland Resort. Genie+ lets you book return times to select attractions in addition to the return time you can book using DAS. Depending on the return times of attractions booked using Genie+, it's also possible to have two or more Lightning Lane return times scheduled. If you have Park Hopper tickets, Genie+ also allows you to book a Lightning Lane for an attraction in the other park.

I hope that helps you make the most of your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth, Robert. Please visit us at planDisney soon if you have any more questions.
