Hello, I need to reduce the number of guests in my dining reservation without changing time. How do I do that?

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question! I know parties and plans can change often, but modifying a dining reservation is pretty quick. Let's get started!

You can modify your dining reservation either on the Disneyland website or in the Disneyland Mobile App. I'll give you instructions for both methods, just in case.

On the Disneyland website, you'll want to visit "My Plans" to find your existing reservation. When you see the reservation in the list you'll click "Change Reservation" on the right side of the screen. The site will then show you the current party size and date you've booked. You want to click on "Edit" to the right of your party size and then choose your new party number. Then choose an available time and continue through the reservation process.

On the Disneyland Mobile App tap the "☰" to open the main menu and then scroll down to "Future Plans" in the list of options. Tap on your dining reservation, then tap the "Modify" button. The next screen will show you the current party size and date, where you will tap "Edit" to the right of the party size to update the number of guests. When you have the right number you can choose an available dining time and finish the reservation.

An important thing to know is that reducing the number of people in your party could potentially make the time you're looking for unavailable. If that's the case then I recommend keeping your current reservation (don't finish changing it and it should stay in your plans as-is). When you check in on the day of your reservation the app will ask you to confirm how many guests and you can adjust your party then. You can also let the Cast Member at the restaurant know that you have a slightly smaller party. It happens, no worries!

I hope you're planning to enjoy some spooky fun during your visit, too! Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is full of frightful treats, so make sure you save some room after your meal to try a few. The Disney Eats Foodie Guide can help you explore the available treats and ensure you don't miss anything! The mini apple cider donuts at Cafe Daisy sound fabulous, and I'm hearing excellent things about the Boo-gogi Toasted Sandwich with Corn Cheese Soup at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.

Enjoy your visit, Kelly! I hope everything is ghoulishly delightful.

    Keep moving forward!
