Hi Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm the mom of a picky eater myself. We've learned to try and meet him where he is, and come up with food he'll eat that we enjoy, too.
One of our strategies for meals at Walt Disney World is to hit the buffets. Our favorite is Chef Mickey's, in Disney's Contemporary Resort. Breakfast includes eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereal and fruit, and everyone's favorite Mickey waffles. At dinner, you'll find a carving station and other buffet offerings for grownups, and kids' selections that include things like macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders and pizza.
Another fun option for picky eaters is a great show, like the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. With all-you-care to eat country-style vittles like ribs, cowboy baked beans, cornbread and the best fried chicken you've ever tasted, it's a hand-clappin', knee-slappin' good time.
In the parks, we'll stop for lunch at a counter service spot like Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland. Grab your food from one of the "bays" offering chicken, burgers, or sandwiches and salads, then listen to Sonny Eclipse, an intergalactic animatronic "lounge lizard" who croons in the main dining area.
Kimberly, Walt Disney World has lots of dining options, so you're sure to find something your whole family will enjoy. Please let us know if we can satisfy your appetite for more information as you plan your vacation. Wishing you a magical day!
