    I need to reassign one of my tickets.

    Hi there, Tina,

    I get it. Plans can sometimes change. My family has had one of our members be unable to join us on a visit to the Disneyland Resort. In such cases, I’m glad there are ways to make the best of things and allow for the magic to be experienced by someone else. In our case, we were able to give that ticket to a friend.

    As long as a Disneyland Resort theme park ticket is wholly unused, it’s usually pretty straightforward to reassign it to another Guest. If you simply need to modify the name linked to a ticket, you can place a call to the Tickets phone line. A Cast Member there can assist you with making that change. In most cases, you may also merely have the other Guest use that ticket as-is without making any modifications to the name. Besides the occasional mental double-check that may be required on your end to keep track of who is using which ticket, it shouldn’t cause any issues. When a ticket is activated for the first time, a digital photograph of the ticket user is electronically linked to the ticket. That photo is what Cast Members use to verify the ticket holder rather than checking IDs and matching names.

    Sharing a ticket across multiple accounts is a common practice as well. To find a ticket’s information, visit the Tickets and Passes screen accessed through the ☰ feature menu of the Disneyland mobile app. Another Guest may link a ticket to their account by opening the Tickets and Passes screen and tapping the “Link Tickets & Passes” button. If the link button isn’t showing, first tap the ‘+’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. There are options to either scan the ticket barcode with the camera or manually type in the ticket ID. You can link a given ticket to as many accounts as you’d like. This is useful when you want various members of your party to be able to share the task of booking Lightning Lane return times for everyone or for subgroups of a larger party.

    If you need to completely unlink a theme park ticket from your account and link it to another Guest’s account instead, that too can be arranged by Cast Members with the Tickets phone line. After making such a modification, I recommend that everyone verify that each of the tickets is in the expected account by visiting the Tickets and Passes screen of the Disneyland app. Also, be sure to check that the necessary theme park reservations are in place by navigating to the Future Plans screen of the app. If a park reservation needs to be rebooked, tap the ‘+’ button at the bottom of the mobile app screen and select “Make a Park Reservation” then use the “Make or Modify Park Reservations” link to open the "My Theme Park Reservations" page in a web browser.
