Hi Jason!
Welcome to planDisney!
Let the planning fun begin! I am delighted to see that you might be the lead planner for your group! We are happy to give you some suggestions to begin the planning process. Thank you for sharing the info you included! To get pricing, I recommend that you
contact a cast member at the Walt Disney World® Resort or use a travel agency. They will be able to get more details about your party and the amenities you prefer to be able to do some accurate price comparisons. The cast member or travel agent will also need additional details regarding the ages of everyone in your group (if any of your children are 2-years old and under, they do not currently require theme park tickets), the exact dates of your visit (including the departure date), and the type of
Disney Dining Plan you all would prefer. Although it seems like you all may want separate rooms, you could also do some price comparisons with all of you staying together in a villa.
When I started planning our first trip to Disney, I used a local travel agency. Now, I use the Walt Disney World® website's
vacation planning tools. From the vacation planning website, you should be able to click on Get Started to type in your party information, dates of visit, select theme park tickets, and choose a meal plan to see pricing. I love this feature because I will actually search pricing on the Disney website myself, then contact a travel agency to see what their pricing or additional offers are. Also, always check the
Special Offers so that you know what deals might be available for the dates of your visit - keep checking periodically since your arrival date is close to the end of next year.
Jason, our favorite time of year to visit is similar to your planned arrival date! We absolutely love
The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. The parks and resorts are decorated beautifully, the characters are absolutely adorable, and the food is fantastic. We just returned from a visit on December 23rd and ended our trip with breakfast at
1900 Park Fare. Participating in the Wish Makers ceremony just before heading back to the airport was a lovely way to end our trip. In the spirit of Princess Tiana, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star trusting you will book a vacation package soon and that your planning will continue to be
practically perfect!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
