Need to purchase tickets to Walt Disney World and I’m having a problem navigating your system.

    Hey there, Jeffrey!

Welcome to planDisney! It's great to see you here as you make your plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort.

I'm happy to offer you some tips for purchasing your theme park tickets to Walt Disney World Resort online. First, let me mention that you can also purchase theme park tickets over the phone by calling the Walt Disney World Resort new tickets team at (407) 939-7679. You might find that purchasing your tickets over the phone is more convenient for you.

You'll need to do two things to visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. You'll need to purchase a ticket for admission and you'll need to make a theme park reservation. Let me share the steps you'll want to take.

    • Start by clicking on the blue "Select" button on the Theme Park Tickets website page.
    • Before you purchase tickets, you'll want to be sure that the theme parks you wish to visit have reservations available for the days you want to visit. Click on the blue "View Calendar" button to look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar. The calendar should open in a new browser tab. Click on the calendar's arrow to look at the month and dates you plan to visit. You'll want to make sure that the theme park you want to visit shows that reservations are available.
    • Go back to the Theme Park Tickets browser tab and select the number of days you want to visit the theme parks.
    • Select the type of ticket you want to purchase. Your choices include a "1 Park Per Day" ticket and a Park Hopper Option to visit more than one theme park in a day. There are also choices to buy a ticket that includes water park admission.
    • Choose the first day you plan to visit the theme parks. Theme park ticket pricing is date-based. You'll see a calendar that shows the days of the month with ticket pricing for each day. Your theme park tickets can be used on non-consecutive days. You will see a message that tells you the date range for when you can use your tickets.
    • Select the number of tickets you need based on the ages of the people in your vacation party. Tickets are available for ages 10+ and for ages 3-9. Children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket.
    • Now you'll see a summary of your current selection for theme park tickets and your price.
    • When you click the "Continue" button, you'll see an option to customize your ticket purchase with Memory Maker, which gives you photos taken of you by Disney PhotoPass photographers in the theme parks. You can add this option, or you can proceed to complete your purchase.
    • You'll have an option for how you want to receive your tickets. You can receive them in the mail (standard postal service or express delivery), or you can choose to pick up your tickets at Guest Relations when you arrive at the theme parks.
    • After you purchase your theme park tickets, be sure to link the tickets to your My Disney Experience account by using the Confirmation Number or Ticket ID number.
    • The next important step is to make your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system

Jeffrey, hopefully these quick steps help you navigate the ticket buying process. One note to keep in mind is that tickets are nonrefundable. Remember, you can always call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 939-7679 for assistance.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You have so much magic waiting you!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
