Hello Tynisha! Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you are asking this great question!
While it is possible for Guests to purchase theme park tickets upon their arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort, I strongly advise that you purchase your tickets long before you arrive for your vacation. Let me explain a little more. Guests need both a valid theme park ticket and a
Disney Park Pass reservation to enter any of the four Disney Parks. You can’t make a park reservation until you have purchased your theme park tickets. If a Guest waits until arrival to purchase their tickets, they run the risk of not getting a same-day park reservation (or any park reservations at all) during their vacation.
I see that you are planning to arrive in August! I just took a quick look at the
Disney Park Pass calendar for August and see that all parks currently have availability! This is great! I recommend that you purchase your tickets and make your Disney Park pass reservations now! Park reservations will become less available the closer the calendar gets to August.
Tynisha, keep asking great questions and we’ll keep on answering!
