do i need to purchase rain cover-ups in case it rains?

    Hi Deborah ~

Your trip is literally around the corner and I bet you're too excited to sleep!

You can purchase rain ponchos in all of the theme parks and a lot of the merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. If it starts to rain, you'll see them near the registers at most merchandise locations and a lot of the outside kiosks. I've saved all of my rain ponchos from previous trips so I always throw them in my luggage so that I don't have to buy new ones. If there is rain in the forecast, I take them with me to the theme parks that day. I also take a plastic bag to put them in after they are wet so I don't have to carry around a dripping poncho.

You could also purchase rain ponchos in advance. I have bought the cheaper ones that fold up really small and keep one in my backpack as an emergency poncho. I also use one on Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids - yes, yes - I am one of those people. These take up less room in my bag and I don't feel bad about tossing them after the rain stops. If you have several people in your family and wait to purchase ponchos in the parks in the event of rain, be prepared to spend to the extra money. Their ponchos are nice and durable and you can use them again and again, but they are more expensive than purchasing them off property.
