Do I need to purchase the park tickets before I book a Disney Hotel?

Did I hear someone say, “Book a Disney Resort Hotel?” Yes! Avi, deciding to stay at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection is a great choice! My family always prefers to “stay in the magic” when visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth! I’ll share some of the benefits of being a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel but let me answer your question first!

No, it is not necessary to purchase theme park tickets prior to booking a resort hotel. You can book either first. However, if you’re planning on booking a resort hotel and theme park tickets, I recommend that you make it easy on yourself and book a room-and-ticket package. There are usually money-saving packages available. In fact, for your planned travel later this summer, you should check out the “Stay, Play, and Enjoy a Disney Dining Promo Card” offer. This deal is available during your travel window! You’ll receive a Disney Dining promo card as part of your booking!

I promised I’d share some of the benefits of staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection! First…more time in the parks! Guests of Disney Resort hotels (with a park ticket and park reservation) are allowed to enter any park, any day 30 minutes prior to the official park opening time! That is a great perk! And, Guests staying in deluxe resort hotels are able to spend more time in the parks on select evenings with the Extended Evening Hours benefit! Next, Guests can enjoy complimentary Disney transportation throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort! Some of these transportation options such as the Disney Skyliner and Monorail feel like attractions themselves! Also, when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel you are immersed in all the magic surrounding you! Additionally, Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel are able to make advanced dining reservations for the entire length of their stay (up to 10 days) 60 days prior to their vacation arrival date!

Avi, if you can't tell, I'm a little excited that you're planning on staying "in the magic" for your vacation! Come back to planDisney with any additional planning questions!

    Happy planning!
