Do you need to purchase park passes in order to attend the character breakfasts? I am new to this whole disney thing... =)

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Lauren!

Character Meals are an amazing way to get some one-on-one time with your favorite Disney Pals.  Thankfully, there are many options inside and outside of the Disney Theme Parks.  Want to meet Mickey Mouse?  Secure an Advance Dining Reservation at Chef Mickey's to meet the "Big Cheese" himself.  No need for theme park tickets there!  I recommend that you take a look at all the character dining experiences highlighted in the link I provided you so that you may select the experience that's best for you.  If a restaurant is located within one of the Disney Theme Parks, you WILL need valid theme park tickets in order to dine at that particular establishment.  Is the restaurant located at a Disney Resort?  No ticket needed.

Feel free to stop back with any other questions, or if you would like recommendations.  Always happy to help!

    Magically yours in 2018,
