Do I need to purchase memory maker one day the day of my park visit or am I allowed to purchase it before my trip?

    Hi Josephine, welcome to planDisney!

I'm trying to take care of as many Disney details as possible before my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, too. I leave tomorrow (eek!) so I just plugged in my MagicBand+ and am doing a final check in My Disney Experience to make sure all of my tickets are linked and all of my theme park reservations are showing. I'm traveling with a friend who has a Memory Maker entitlement linked to her account, otherwise, I'd be checking for that, too, by scrolling down on the Tickets, Passes, and Memory Maker Tab of My Plans. Planning a Disney trip is almost as fun as experiencing one, so let's have some fun!

Memory Maker is the souvenir that keeps on giving. One purchase includes unlimited downloads of all Disney PhotoPass media captured during the length of activation. You can purchase any Memory Maker Product, including Memory Maker One Day, any time before your visit; the entitlement sits in your My Disney Experience until activated. Follow these steps to activate a Memory Maker entitlement in the My Disney Experience mobile app:

    1. Click on any watermarked Disney PhotoPass image in your My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the app's homepage > Photo).
    2. Click the "Activate My Photos" button followed by the green "Activate" button. The watermarks on all of your Disney PhotoPass images will automagically disappear and clicking on that same photo will now give you the option to edit, save, or share it.
One Memory Maker purchase includes images of up to 25 members of your Family & Friends list, Josephine, but only the person to whom the Memory Maker entitlement is linked can view and download unwatermarked images. Another important detail to remember about saving your magical memories is that Disney PhotoPass images expire 45 days after they are taken. I most often download single images throughout my vacation for social media posts but find it easiest to download all of my Disney PhotoPass images at once from my laptop after my vacation.

To maximize the magic of your Memory Maker One Day purchase, Josephine, make sure you have a MagicBand+ and/or Bluetooth enabled on your My Disney Experience mobile app to ensure your attraction photos find the right digital destination.

I hope this information helps capture your best day ever at the theme parks. Please let planDisney know if we can help with any other Disney details!

    Choose magic,
    Jennifer
