Hi there, Melissa, and thanks for stopping by
planDisney!
As a fellow Annual Passholder who's delighted that we're
almost there, I'm happy to talk you through the process involved in previewing the much-anticipated attraction before it opens to the general public. Passholders hoping to preview
Tiana's Bayou Adventure during our designated dates (June 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20) will be able to do so by joining a
virtual queue, no Disney Genie+ service required!
In order to join the 7 AM virtual queue, Passholders will need to hold a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park during the designated dates. Unfortunately, these are currently unavailable for additional Guests, but I'm happy to report that Walt Disney World has modified its traditional policy for 1 PM virtual queues for this particular experience. While other virtual queues require that Guests be present in the theme park of the attraction to join at 1 PM, Passholders will be able to join the 1 PM virtual queue for the Tiana's Bayou Adventure Preview from anywhere! Because I wasn't able to secure a Magic Kingdom reservation for one of the Preview days, I've made reservations for Walt Disney World's other theme parks and plan to hop over to Magic Kingdom if I'm able to snag a boarding group at 1:00. Of course, if my fingers aren't fast enough during the preview, all hope is not lost. Once it officially opens on June 28, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be available for all Guests as a Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selection.
A bonus tip: My bayou-born husband is so excited to try all of the new Tiana-inspired offerings in Magic Kingdom Park. Be sure to check out
Disney Parks Blog's Foodie Guide to scope out your favorites!
I hope this was helpful, Melissa, and that you get the opportunity to preview the magic of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Although I have yet to head down the bayou myself, I have a feeling that Mama Odie was right, "This gon' be good!"
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
