Hi Christina,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to see you stopping by with a great question.
Since you can pre-register for two attraction experiences per day that you have valid theme park admission when you pre-register for the
Disability Access Service (DAS), you may not need to purchase Disney Genie+ service. However, I just pre-registered for DAS and three of the most popular attractions were not available for pre-registration, so we will either try purchasing individual Lightning Lane selections for them or, if possible, use the DAS to request a return time when we are in the parks. The one ride I am concerned about is
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure because it is currently only available via the virtual queue process or as an individual
Lightning Lane purchase. Luckily, we have done the
virtual queue process before, so I will try that first!
Before making a decision to purchase, check the
list of attractions that allow pre-registration with DAS. When pre-registering for our trip that's coming up soon, it took me several days of trying. If you have not considered pre-registering, I suggest that you do so once you are within a 30-day window prior to arrival. It took me just under four hours to get pre-registered for the service via the live video chat. Once the Cast Member made those attraction selections for us, she linked them in My Disney Experience.
I recommend that you take a look at the attractions that allow pre-registration via DAS and see which ones are not available on that list. Then, determine if purchasing Disney Genie+ service is necessary based on which attractions your family wants to experience. Also, consider how many family members will be with you. Historically, there has been a limit of how many people can be linked to one Guest's DAS. On our upcoming trip, I have decided that we will try
Disney Genie+ service!
Christina, with DAS, once you are in the park, you can also request return times. Just remember that you can only have one active DAS return time at a time. And be sure to have the
My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded so that you can
request return times in the mobile app.
Happy Planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
