Welcome back to planDisney, Sophie.
With all the buzz around the new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass, it can seem like they’re the only way to access the rides. While they can certainly help maximise your time, they’re not necessary to enjoy your days at the Parks.
All rides have a standby queue, except for three, where you can check up-to-date wait times in your My Disney Experience App and join the standby queue.
Three rides work slightly differently:
Tiana’s Bayou AdventureTRON Lightcycle / RunGuardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic RewindThese three rides use a
Virtual Queue. Guests can request to enter these Virtual Queues (through their My Disney Experience App) with valid admission. Typically, you have two opportunities per day, at 7 am and 1 pm. For the afternoon request, you must be in the relevant Park: EPCOT for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Magic Kingdom Park for the other two. There is no charge to access Virtual Queues.
Indeed, there is no charge for many fantastic features in the My Disney Experience App. It’s your source for up-to-date wait times, maps, mobile food orders, and more.
I hope this information helps, Sophie. Not long now til you are soaking up all that Disney magic! Enjoy!
Louise
