Hi Valarie, and welcome to planDisney!
I am more than happy to answer your question. From the opening of
TRON Lightcycle / Run to the
upcoming Annual Passholder park reservation change, there are so many exciting experiences in store for you and your kiddo this year! And let me be the first to welcome your little Mousketeer to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder family!
As you know, the
Disney Pixie Dust annual pass is the only Walt Disney World Resort annual pass available to purchase at the time. And as a Florida resident, it is available to you just as it is to your kiddo. Yippee!
Because you are already an Annual Passholder, you may call
(407) 560-PASS to purchase the annual pass. Or simply go to the Walt Disney World Resort
Annual Pass webpage, and make the purchase online. Only adults have to show
proof of residency when activating the annual pass at the theme parks and
Disney Springs. But I'm the total opposite of Simba: I do not walk on the wild side. So, just in case the Cast Member asks for your government-issued ID, as the child's parent, have that ready to go. Although just being an Annual Passholder should be enough for your little Mouseketeer to use their Disney Pixie Dust annual pass.
AN EXTRA GEM: My husband, two boys, and I all have different annual pass renewal dates, so I can totally relate to the balancing act. I recommend placing the various renewal dates on a digital calendar and setting reminders once each date gets closer. Remember, you can renew up to 60 days before and up to 30 days after the expiration dates.
Please
give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any further questions about planning your upcoming trips with your family's newest Annual Passholder!
Magic always,
LeAndra
