Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Megan!
Thank you for this excellent question regarding security and safety measures in preparation for your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort.
Upon arrival at any
Disney Theme Park, you will have to pass through a quick security check. You will see a row of friendly security guards under a tent, standing at the end of tall, long and narrow tables who will ask to see inside everything you are carrying with you. Upon your approach at the long, tall tables, it will expedite your process to have all bags open on the table in front of you. Beyond this point, you may be asked to pass through metal detection screening. When this happens to me with my Autistic son, I seek assistance from a Cast Member for this quick process. From there, you will proceed to the Theme Park entrance where you will present your
MagicBand or Theme Park Ticket Card to the Mickey Touch Point along with your fingerprint on the mini-scanner. Cast Members are available at every Mickey Touch Point that is open, for any needed assistance.
Megan, please familiarize yourself with
Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules in preparation for your visit and customize your plans with
My Disney Experience online and
mobile app for Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ Planning and much more.
We hope this information is helpful, wish you a magical Disney vacation and would be honored to assist you again soon with your planning, Megan!
