Hey there, Reg, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're counting down the days to your vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and you must be getting so excited! I'm thrilled that you're here with this great question about your visit.
Reg, you'll be happy to know that date-based tickets do not need a park reservation. If your
Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option is date-based, then you will not need to make a reservation before your arrival. Certain types of admission, like Annual Passes and student group tickets, are not date-based, so check out
this helpful website for all of the details about how to determine what type of ticket you have and make a
reservation.
When you're hopping between the parks, I recommend using the helpful map feature found within the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. It will tell you the best way to get to your next destination, whether you're walking, riding a
bus, or taking the
Disney Skyliner,
Monorail or
water taxi!
Reg, I hope this is helpful to you as you finish packing your suitcases for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See ya real soon!
Jennifer
