Hi Margaret -
Thanks for visiting us here at the Moms Panel. You will have a magnificent time enjoying the splendor of Alaska on the Disney Cruise Line. It is gorgeous out there and you'll surely be taking lots of pictures to share with your friends and family once you get back home.
All the Disney Cruise Line Broadway-style live shows onboard do not need any reservations or booking. Once you reserve your voyage, you will be assigned either the Early or Late dinner seating. If you are eating early, then you will watch the late show. If you are eating late, then you will see the early show. This way, no one misses these spectacular live shows at the theater -- and no one misses out on the gastronomic dinner experiences at the restaurants either. Once you embark, do checkout the Personal Navigator. It will be delivered to your stateroom every night. You can also find some around the lobby by the Guest Services desk. The Personal Navigator will give you the schedule of all activities for the day. Show times and venues will be listed clearly, as well as activities for all age groups around the ship. So, make sure you read it in the evening to help you prepare for your next days' adventure.
Remember to dress warm and in layers. The accessories to keep your head, neck and hands warm really do help when you are up on deck - especially in the evenings when the air is fresh and crisp! My family and I loved sailing through Alaska!
Here's some
helpful tips from my fellow Cruise Mom, Nancy, when she sailed to Alaska. Do let us know if you need additional information as you plan your activities for your Alaskan Cruise. We're always happy to help.
Bon voyage!
