Hi Priscilla,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I believe that you are asking about how to choose a week to visit Walt Disney World given your children's year-round school schedule. I think that this is a great situation! Since most schools are still on a traditional academic year with a summer break, you will have different availability than many other guests.
Therefore, I suggest choosing one of the weeks that your children are off from school that does not fall around a major holiday. Times when many children are out of school, traditionally summer, near Easter for a Spring Break, and around Christmas for a winter break, tend to be busier times of year at Walt Disney World. If your children have a week off in the fall, or possibly in February or sometime in the spring that is not near Easter - those will be times that I would recommend.
You can also consider weather. Since you can likely avoid summer, you will be able to miss the hottest time of year at Walt Disney World and choose a week in the fall, winter, or spring when temperatures are more moderate.
Finally, consider some of the special events that occur in Walt Disney World to see if any of these coincide with a time that you can travel. There is a
calendar of these Walt Disney World special events online. For example, if your children have a week off in September or October, you could go to both
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Priscilla! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
