I need to plan for a party of 6

Ahoy there, Kayla! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

How exciting that you're planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation. I don't mind sharing that I spend quite a bit of time perusing the different itineraries and dreaming about which destination we'll check off next.

Now, let's dive into your question about planning for a party of 6 guests. First, it's important to note that most staterooms sleep four guests. You will find some verandah staterooms that sleep five, however, if you'd like six in one room, you'll need to book a Concierge Suite. If that isn't in the budget, my best recommendation would be to book two connecting rooms. When you're booking online, make sure to search for the number of guests in 1 of the 2 rooms and then add on a second stateroom. To begin from the Disney Cruise Line website, hover over the words, "Plan a Cruise," and then click on "Find a Cruise." You'll see that you can filter by date, destination, departure port, number of guests, and more. This is also my favorite way to price out a sailing because you can continue to update and change out dates or departure ports. Prices will vary depending on a multitude of factors.

Since you will have six guests, the layout of the ship and choice of stateroom locations may be important to you. When my family recently sailed on the Disney Dream, my father-in-law accompanied us on this trip. He stayed in a separate room, but we knew he wanted to be close, so I selected both rooms at the same time. You can do this through online booking. Once you have selected a date, you'll click on "View Staterooms." You will select a category of room and then you'll see the layout of the ship and any open rooms. Once you have selected 1 room, you'll be prompted to select room 2.

Kayla, I hope this helps as you begin your planning journey. If you need any more assistance, I hope you'll come on back to planDisney. We are happy to chat about rotational dining, booking onboard activities, port adventures, character sightings, live entertainment, and more!

Wishing you happy planning and smooth sailing!
