We need a PCR test before our flight back home. There's a center 7 mins away from our resort and we have a toddler. Our only option is car rental with carseat. Does Disney offer any services to help get there? It's very expensive for a 7 mins drive

    Hello, Constance! Welcome to planDisney!

It's been quite a year (and then some) hasn't it? We could all use a little magic these days, and I'm so happy that your family will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon! Of course, you don't want any glitches when it's time to make your way back home, so let's see if we can make sure your testing goes as smoothly as possible.

To help keep Guests like us healthy and safe, Disney recently partnered with AdventHealth as the official health care provider of the Walt Disney World Resort, giving us easier access to all kinds of health services. While there's no COVID testing facility on Walt Disney World property at the moment, there is an AdventHealth Centra Care center in the Lake Buena Vista area near Disney Springs that offers testing. I did find a note on the Walt Disney World website stating that Guests can receive complimentary transportation to CentraCare for urgent care, so I'd ask at the front desk of your Resort hotel if you're able to use it to access the facility for your COVID tests.

Another option you might consider is using a ride share service like Uber or Lyft, or taking a taxi. They all frequently pick up Guests at Disney Resort hotels, and you can request a vehicle with a car seat for your toddler when you book the ride. A Cast Member at the front desk can also help you with arranging one of these services if you need it.

There's also a COVID testing clinic inside the Orlando International Airport that offers both RT-PCR and antigen tests. I can't link it here, but if you do a search for "COVID testing Orlando International Airport," you'll find more details.

If you'd like to speak to someone in advance about your options, you can try calling AdventHealth for more information at (407) 939-7480.

I hope knowing that you'll be able to plan for your COVID tests helps put your mind at ease so you can enjoy your well-earned vacation. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney, Constance, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
