Hi there, Joshlyn! Thank you for cruising over to planDisney with your question.
It looks like you're channeling your inner Aladdin and on a mission to be "one jump ahead" with your travel documentation – a brilliant move! The correct paperwork guarantees a seamless transition from land to sea.
United States citizens do not need a passport for closed-loop sailings, meaning your cruise starts and ends at the same U.S. port. You can present either a U.S. Passport OR an original/copy of a state-issued birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID (please note that digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not valid for sailing). Children fifteen years of age and younger are not required to show a photo ID. You can double-check the travel documentation required for your cruise under the Already Booked tab, then look for
Travel Documentation.
I’m so excited for you to experience everything a
Disney Cruise Line vacation offers. Onboard, you'll discover fantastic dining rooms, family-friendly entertainment, and imaginative spaces for both kids and grown-ups. There’s magic for Guests of all ages! I suggest downloading the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to maximize your time at sea. This handy tool provides a daily list of activities to guide your adventures.
Joshlyn, feel free to reach out if you have any more questions as your vacation approaches. Let the countdown to sail away begin!
SEAS the adventure!
