Hi do you need a passport for the Halloween cruise that goes from New York and travels to Canada. We are from Canada and would drive to New York. The adults have passports but the kids don’t as we typically drive to cross the border with birth certificates

    Hi Sheena,

Welcome back to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us another question, this time about your next Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I’ve had the chance to sail on a Halloween on the High Seas cruise out of New York, and I’m sure you’re going to have an absolutely fabulous time aboard the beautiful Disney Dream! Don’t forget to pack Halloween costumes for the whole family – they will make for great pictures onboard.

From what I understand, even though you’ll be visiting Canadian ports, all Canadian Citizens on this sailing need to have a valid Canadian Passport or an original valid Trusted Traveler Program card (for example, a NEXUS card.) for sailings out of New York. You’ll need to get passports for your children before your sailing. I’d recommend that you visit your local passport office immediately to see what your options are for getting your documentation on time.

If you have any questions or encounter any issues getting this documentation, please call Disney Cruise Line as soon as possible. They’ll be able to answer any specific questions you may have about passenger requirements for your specific sailing.

As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. And I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll be able to have smooth sailing in the lead up to your vacation and during the voyage itself!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
